What is the Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off?
The Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off is a two-day culinary festival, hosted by the Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce, celebrating local chowder recipes, community spirit, and fun for all ages. Attendees can sample different chowders (white and red varieties), enjoy live music, browse arts & crafts vendors, and participate in family-friendly activities.

When is it?
The event takes place October 4 & 5, 2025.

Where is it?
It’s held on Taylor Avenue, behind Bay Village in Beach Haven, New Jersey.

What happens on October 4?
October 4 is the Merchant & Vendor Day — a free day where local merchants and vendors set up booths, arts & crafts are on display, and the community can mingle, browse, and enjoy the atmosphere.

What happens on October 5?
October 5 is Cook-Off Day — ticketed entry, where competing chefs present their chowders in red and white categories, attendees sample the chowders, and winners are announced at the end.

How much are tickets?

If you purchase the tickets before the festival it is $35 a ticket. If purchased at the gate, it is $40 a ticket.
